UOIT Motorsports was founded by a group of forward thinking individuals at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology in 2017. We are dedicated to researching and developing the future of automotive propulsion technologies, with the backing of our faculty and sponsors. We place value and emphasis on teamwork and efficiency as well as the art of knowledge transfer here at UOIT Motorsports.

 

Our mission

Every year we expose new students to real life engineering experiences so that they can be better prepared for the challenges of tomorrow. We strive to keep a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, business and marketing students and expose them to fields of knowledge beyond the classrooms.

 

ABout Formula SAE

Formula SAE is a student design competition organized by SAE International. The goal is for students to develop a small Formula-style racecar that is to be evaluated for its potential as a production item. The racecar has to adhere to the non-professional autocross weekend racer.

 

The Events

Formula SAE competitions are broken down into 8 events:
